My mixed media collages are about the celebration of life and I am greatly inspired by different ethnic cultures - mainly for the simplicity and joyfulness in their expressive mark making. The subject matter is almost always figurative or mask-based, and tribal dance, mythical beasts and indigenous cultures are important themes within my work.

My decorative style is greatly influenced by my textile training in Paris and Winchester. My experience of living in Paris and exposure to artists such as Matisse and Picasso, as well as Afro-Caribbean street fashion in London, music and dance, have also played their part in shaping my style.
